Help us make the Santa Fe Bachata weekender possible!

The Santa Fe Bachata Weekender is coming up October 23–25, and we’re looking for some wonderful people from our dance community to help us make the weekend happen!

In exchange for volunteering, you can earn admission to the Weekender. This opportunity is open to anyone who would like to help, and we especially want to make it available to dancers for whom the cost of attending might otherwise be a barrier.

Below is an overview of the various volunteer roles available for the Fall ‘26 SFBW.

VOLUNTEER ROLES

GENERAL VOLUNTEERS

We need help throughout the weekend with things like:

•  Event setup
•  Cleanup and breakdown
•  Working the door (taking payments, giving out wristbands, etc.)
•  Other small tasks throughout the weekend

We do our best to divide volunteer hours so that everyone can still attend and enjoy most of the workshops and festivities!

HOST A VISITING DJ/INSTRUCTOR

We’re also looking for a couple of people who would be willing to host one of our visiting DJs or instructors during the Weekender. If you have a comfortable spare room and would be interested in helping us house one of our visiting artists, let us know!

BIGGER ROLES

We also have a few larger roles to fill. Because these require a little more time and responsibility, they may come with additional perks, such as free Bachata Tuesday classes and/or private lessons.

Volunteer Coordinator
Help us coordinate the volunteer team building up to and during the weekend, including communicating with volunteers, helping everyone know where they need to be and when, and making sure volunteer shifts are covered.

Cooking for Artists & DJs
We’re looking for someone who would be willing to prepare a few simple, hearty meals for our visiting instructors and DJs—think a pan of enchiladas, lasagna, or something similar. We’ll pay for all the ingredients; we’re looking for someone willing to contribute their time, cooking skills, and use of their kitchen.

Interested?

Send us a message — hdlatindance@gmail.com or text (920) 400-0706 — and let us know which type of volunteering you’re interested in, and we’ll get in touch with more details.

Thank you for helping us create this event and keep the Santa Fe dance community growing.
